Star Striker out injured for 2 weeks after Hernia operation

Team Gladstone have been rocked by the news that star striker, Tzur Yigal and Israeli international Under-6 centre forward Guy Gladstone, has been ruled out of action for up to 2 weeks after undergoing a Hernia operation whilst travelling in Vietnam.
Gladstone, aged 5, was first diagnosed with the condition whilst in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on 21st Jan but, despite trying to play through the pain in Dalat, a second ultrasound revealed the true extent of the injury and he was advised by his doctors to return to HCMC to undergo surgery on 29th January.

It is unclear how he picked up the injury but photos have emerged which seem to show the youngster being assaulted by an obsessed Vietnamese fan in Dalat. Sources close to the player have confirmed the assault did in fact take place but that Guy "quite enjoyed the attention".

The operation was a complete success and he is expected to be back to full fitness within 1-2 weeks.

Commenting on the injury, Gladstone's mother Shoshi said, "It's been a difficult time for all of the family and we've had to change our travel plans to ensure Guy got the best medical treatment possible.  Luckily he's now getting back to himself and the peace and quiet of the last few days are just a distant memory."

Guy added, "After the hospital nightmare of the Philippines, I didn't expect to be back again so quickly.  Who'd have thought I would have been hospitalised twice in the first 3 months of our travelling?"

"Not me, that's for sure," added Gladstone's father and agent, Darren.
